It was initiated in 1990s that the city should be restored to its original style. For that purpose, Maine College of Art has done so many efforts to revitalize the city to its original design and it has worked on many buildings of the Congress. Its students have restored the famous and historic Porteous building, the Baxter Building, once home to the city's public library, as a computer lab and photography studio. The city is facing a great change in the process of architectural restoration and building of new ones around and it has really got the atmosphere and charisma to capture the attention of every new visitor in a first glance. |
