A popular name in American country music, Jason Aldine Williams , better known as, Jason Aldean, has to date released four albums, out of which two are certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), and one was a certified gold. Aldean was raised by his mother in Macon, Georgia . His parents had divorced when he was only three years old. His father had moved to Homestead, Florida, where Aldean would spend his summer holidays. Although, both the parents encouraged him to play and make music, it was his father who encouraged him to learn guitar in his early age. His father would map out guitar chords on paper to guide Aldean where to place his fingers to play the chords. Jason Aldean would play all day till his father came back home. Once back home, his father would take out his own guitar and both would play together. A child prodigy, Aldean could play the whole song himself after listening to it only a few times. His early influences were Hank Williams Jr., George Strait and the Alabama. The songs “My Home’s in Alabama”, “The Blues Man” and “The Cowboy Rides Away” greatly impressed him. By the age of 14, he wanted to play on stage and with his mother’s encouragement started to perform locally in Macon, Georgia. He would participate in local fairs and talent contests. Only 15 years old, he had joined the “house band”.

After graduating from high school, Jason Aldean and his band had started to perform gigs at every available forum. In 1998, while performing at The Buckboard, an Atlanta nightclub, he was spotted by an official of Warner-Chappell song-publishing company. Aldean signed up with them and moved to Nashville, Tennessee. Nashville, turned out to be no bed of roses for him, and he had to struggle till he signed up with Broken Bow Records .

His debut album, Jason Aldean , was released in 2005. It was a huge success. The album, a platinum certified record by RIAA, sold over one million copies in the US alone. It had chartbusting singles like “Hicktown”, “Why”, and “Amarillo Sky”. It also earned him the title of “Top New Male Vocalist” at the Academy of Country Music Awards in 2006.

Relentless was his second album, which was released in 2007. This album was a certified gold record by the RIAA. It had smash hits like “Laughed Until We Cried” and “Johnny Cash”. Next came, Wide Open . His third album, which was released in 2009, was a commercial success as well, like its predecessors. The album had hit singles like “She’s Country”, “Big Green Tractor”, “The Truth” and “Crazy Town”. This also helped him get three nominations at CMT music Awards in 2010.

In 2010, Jason Aldean’s fourth album was released called, My Kinda Party . This album, too, was a huge commercial success. A single from the album “My Kinda Party” reached position no. 41 on the Hot Country Songs chart. He sang a duet with a famous singer; Kelly Clarkson called “Don’t You Wanna Stay”, on this album. The single reached position no. 59 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. The duo also performed on the same song in front of live audience at 2010 CMA Awards, which was highly appreciated.
