Summerfest Zac Brown Band
The group that will soon play at the Summerfest Zac Brown Band performance, was formed in 2002 right after which the band began touring rigorously with about two hundred concert a year. The group’s initial lineup included Brown on the lead vocals and acoustic guitar, supported by a bass guitarist and drummer. By 2003, Brown began working on his label then known as Home Grown. By 2004, the band purchased a tour bus and embarked upon full-time touring, performing country and rock clubs alongside performances at jam band and folk festivals. Later that year the group released its first ever independent album titled Far from Einstyne. After playing at many shows, the band finally signed with Live Nation Records in 2008, just after Chris Fryar was added to the ensemble.
The band’s debut single titled Chicken Fried was initially recorded in 2003, when it was included on Home Grown album, but was later recorded again in 2008 and released through country radio. This track was recorded yet again by The Lost Trailers, whose recording from 2006 was released in the form of a single but was eventually withdrawn on Brown’s decision to release the song himself. Brown partially contributed in writing Simple Life, a track that too was recorded by Lost Trailers in their self-titled 2006 album. Summerfest Zac Brown Band show will hopefully include these songs in its set list.
By October 2008, distribution of the single Chicken Fried was taken over by Atlantic Records, just after the closing of Live Nation Artists. The group’s album titled The Foundation was then released through the former label’s re-established division for country music in connection with Big Picture/Home Grown label in November that year. Chicken Fried peaked at number one on country charts in the same month, marking the first time a country band climbed up to being a chart-topper with its first ever single. The group has played covers of many of their inspirational sources in their concerts, with the most noted tracks including Ryan Adams’ Come Pick Me Up, Charlie Daniels’ The Devil Went Down To Georgia, Bob Dylan’s I Shall Be Released, Van Morrison’s Into the Mystic, Bob Marley’s One Love, The Marshall Tucker Band’s Can’t See You and Rage Against the Machine’s Killing in The Name, some of which the group might play again at the anticipated Summerfest Zac Brown Band concert.
The band that will soon perform at the Summerfest Zac Brown Band show, has won several awards in previous years including a Grammy Award, an Academy of Country Music, CMT Music Award, and Country Music Association Award. Summerfest Zac Brown Band concert will be yet another thrilling presentation by the band that has time and again established itself to be the best of live performing country bands with Brown’s graceful voice complimenting the southern rock tinkles. If you are a fan of jam band and folk rock then Summerfest Zac Brown Band tickets are the games for you.
