This single went on to #13 on R&B/Hip hop charts and #21 on US Billboard Hot 100. In 2003 Anthony Hamilton released his second studio album Comin’ From Where I’m From
through Arista Records. This was his first album to chart on Billboard 200 at #33. Soulife
followed as the third album by Hamilton, this proceed to be a bigger success than his previous works and raced to #12 on US Billboard as well as US Billboard Top Internet Albums.

. These two albums were not super hits but the sales were good and both managed to chart on Billboard as well as US Rap and Hip hop charts. This was his first album ever that sold over 100,000 copies in the first week of released and went to the top slot on US R&B/Hip hop albums. has won a Grammy Award in the year 2009 for Best Traditional R&B Vocal Performance for the song with Al Green called "You’ve Got the Love I Need". He has won two Vibe Music Awards for Best Collaboration and Vibe Next Award. In 206 he was the winner of BET J Col Like Dat Award.
