, formerly known as Child and that venture was a minor success. The band used to play in California and started making a reputation for themselves but in 1969 the group broke up and Bruce Springsteen
had to go and form his own group Dr.Zoom & the Cosmic Boom
. The band didn’t work out like he planned so he went solo and started playing gigs in NYC. Soon he was joined by his manager Mike Appel who was instrumental in getting Bruce his first recording contract with Columbia Records in 1972.

in 1986. It turned out to be an epic containing numerous top hits and was certified thirteen times platinum. Success continued to come with his next release Tunnel of Love
in the year 1979 with the album reaching the top spot as well as selling three million copies to get Bruce another Grammy. Human Touch
and Lucky Town
both went platinum but his reputation was cemented as one of the all time greats with the release of Streets of Philadelphia
. The recording was a soundtrack for the 1993 movie Philadelphia and won four Grammys as well as an Academy Award. Greatest Hits collection followed that once again topped charts and sold four million copies. His next release was an LP titled The Ghost of Tom Joad
that earned him another Grammy award. Bruce further cemented his reputation as a true great with epics like The Rising
