Established in 1919 by an extremely wealthy amateur musician, William Andrews Clark Jr., the Los Angeles Philharmonic’s first director was Walter Henry Rothwell, who led the orchestra until 1927. Renaud Capuçon early musical training at the prestigious Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, talent and promise, won him critical and public acclaim. Awarded and recognized multiple times, Capuçon also apprenticed with Thomas Brandis and Isaac Stern in Berlin as well as the concert mastership of the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester. Consequently he ended up working with acclaimed conductors like Franz Welser-Moest, Pierre Boulez, Seiji Ozawa, Daniel Barenboim and Abbado.
