He did so by performing at Sub Dub events ha.ppening in Leeds at the time, which are closely linked to what is considered to be their Northern counterpart events known as Digital Mystikz (DMZ). Both of these events are held at the well-established West Indian Centre. Rusko relocated to London so he could work with the prestigious record labels Stingray Records and Sub Soldiers, and it was there that he came across his present associated act, Caspa.

His most successful tune titled Cockney Thug made its way into the set of many DJs and song mixings including those of Santagold, M.I.A, Switch and Pete Tong.
Rusko worked alongside Grammy Award nominee M.I.A on her third studio offering Maya. M.I.A chose to have Rusko on her new album because she was looking to create something more innovative and high-standard as opposed to the more mainstream sub-standards sounds being churned out. Rusko played the piano and guitar on this album and described the madness with which the two worked in the studio for sessions lasting thirty hours. The songs involving Rusko’s contributions are Steppin Up, XXXo, Teqkilla, Story to be Told, and Space. The song XXXO peaked among the top Forty hits in the UK, Spain and Belgium, while Teqkilla appeared on Canadian Hot 100 while still on released on digital downloads.
