Alice in Wonderland starts with Alice making a heart-stopping leap down a hole chasing the White Rabbit. As the new characters parade out onto the stage, one by one, the whole thing feels like a dream. The superbly talented cast manages to take the whole audience on this dream as well, and spectators are left in awe at just how real everything seems. From Alice growing and shrinking thanks to magic cookies to the stunningly realistic Cheshire Cat, and Caterpillar and the humorous Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum – the show beautifully captures the imagination of each audience member and takes them along on this magical ride through Wonderland. The
Alice in Wonderland cast includes Hayley Lenamon playing the role of little Alice, and Kenady Shope beautifully performing her role as Alice. The character that starts it all - White Rabbit - is played by Tiffany Stringer, whose powerful voice echoes off the walls as she goes into musical numbers such as "I’m Late!". Another role that has been the center of attention is that of Cheshire Cat, portrayed by Aubrey Adams. Adams shows off her dancing skills as she prances about on the stage, joyfully matching her movements with the tune of "Everybody Wants to Be a Cat."Both Tweedles are played by David Coffee, who uses two different voices and a unique set of movements for each of his characters. Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum are dressed in the same costume, split along the middle, and understandably, portraying the right character at the right time is an enormous challenge, one which Coffee lives up to easily. Christopher J. Deaton plays the role of the Mad Hatter, and Deborah Brown’s performance as the Queen of Hearts also stands out. The cast’s wonderful costumes, full of color, were specially designed by Tammy Spencer and have added a great deal to the show’s appeal.
