The next year after its inauguration, the venue once again had a star studded events line up. Dave Matthews Band was the first to perform in 2009 season opening, and was followed by remarkable and legendary performances by Chicago, Earth, Wind & Fire, REO Speedwagon and Styx. Also performing that year were Kenny Chesney, Stevie Wonder, Judas Priest, Incubus and Big & Rich. John Mellencamp and Willie Nelson appeared on the Bob Dylan show that took place at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater at Encore Park, an event that is still remembered by the people who attended it as one of its kind. The legacy of star studded performances continued for the third consecutive year in 2010 when Green Day, Danny Gokey, Sugarland, Corey Smith and Phish graced the venue with their outstanding performances.
